As the Coronavirus pandemic grips countries across the world, the healthcare systems of countries are already collapsing. So far, over 1,000,000 people have been infected by the virus and over 50,000 have lost their lives to it. In India, we are facing emergency lockdowns to prevent the further spread of the disease.
We can stay safe by following preventive measures such as social distancing, maintaining proper hygiene and by spreading awareness about the virus.
What are we doing?
As of now, we are in the middle of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic which has engulfed the entire world and is fast spreading in India. As the threat of this disease grows and puts further strain on communities, here are a few things Kalam Centre is doing to help the community:
Food to the Needy: During this total lockdown, our team is reaching out to the vulnerable section of the society, the daily wage earners, vendors and the gig-economy workers and supplying them with food and dry ration
Knowledge Support: To combat the "misinformation virus", we are constantly producing a series of videos on various aspects of COVID-19
Hack-Corona: We provide students a platform to share innovative ideas to develop innovative solutions to the problems posed by the COVID-19 pandemic
Dreamathon 2020: This is a unique platform which to divert the energies of young minds to spread positivity and hope and weaken the environment of negativity and panic.
