Launch of Dreamathon campaign at the Kirorimal College by cricketer Unmukt Chand, actor Piyush Mishra and author Srijan Pal Singh

Dreamathon was a flagship campaign of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Centre in partnership with Cello Geltech, India’s largest manufacturer of writing instruments. It aimed at reflecting the aspirations of a man who made dreams into realities and ignite the passion for learning & support the youth by providing relevant skills that will help them achieve the full potential.

The idea behind this campaign was to enable youth to cherish their dreams and showcase the world of possibilities that lay ahead of them.  Through this campaign, we ignited 10 million dreams and rekindled the spirit of goodness in them. We also captured 1 million entries on great dreams for the future seen from the imagination of the youth of India.

The campaign was started during the Kalam Youth Festival at Kirori Mal College, the University of Delhi by flagging off a customized van. This van covered 10,000 km and traveled from city to city engaging students from schools and colleges spreading the one of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s important message -

'Dreams are not you see when you’re asleep. Dreams are those that don’t let you sleep.

Poetry, dancing, ball engaging activities and just sharing their dreams and aspirations–– this sums up the journey of over 40 underprivileged kids on the Rapid Metro in Gurgaon.
