Kalam Chakra Fellowship Program 2020

The Kalam Chakra Fellowship Program is an eight-day long commitment that seeks to train and empower the young leaders of India. It is a platform that facilitates dialogue and discussion amongst the young leaders who are passionate to make a change and give back to society. In this program, fellows receive training, adequate tools and a platform to innovate and showcase new ideas and are also able to connect with a network of leaders around the world through webinars and other provided resources.  

The KCFP is an interdisciplinary program, which demonstrates the importance of youth in leadership and policy-making and gives an opportunity to connect and collaborate with world leaders from different fields.

After the end of this fellowship program, an outstanding entrant will receive the title of Kalam Chakra Fellow, and each fellow will receive a recommendation letter after the completion of the program. Each fellow will also be a part of the esteemed cohort of young leaders from various walks of life who can work with each other towards realizing the dream of Dr. Kalam for an Economic Superpower India with Social Inclusion.

Our Vision

We aim to bring young leaders together and to connect with a network of leaders, trainers, thinkers and change-makers. Our vision is to provide correct guidance to the young leaders so they can contribute positively to their immediate and global communities.

Our Mission

Through this program, we aim to build a network of young leaders committed to fulfilling Vision 2020. These leaders would be able to innovate and initiate projects which will reduce the urban-rural divide, facilitate equal distribution and access to resources and promote transparency in governance. 

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for young leaders who are devoted to national development by alleviating social gap, improving health, information and educational sectors, acting against gender discrimination, promoting a peaceful and democratic way of governance, promoting human rights for all, promoting sustainable development, promoting equal opportunities for all, etc. through collaboration and innovation.
 

To be a part of KCFP, you must be:

  • A citizen of India or an NRI or of Indian Origin

  • Between 18 to 35 years as on 15.10.2020

  • Available to attend all the Webinars (2020 edition will be web-based)

  • Able to complete 1-hour of training session per day

  • Able to participate in regular panel discussions on various topics

  • Dedicate at least 100 hours in a year to work on missions of Dr. Kalam’s vision

  • Be a life-long part of the cohort of Kalam Chakra

The Selection Process

The KCFP is a highly selective and coveted program. Through the 3-staged process detailed below, we select the highest potential candidates into the program.

Note: Globally, only 35 Candidates will be selected for the KCFP.

The Application Form

Your application will help us understand your experiences, your motivations to join KCFP and why you would be a strong fit for the Fellowship.

The Phone Interview

After we have reviewed your application form, we may have some questions for you. If so, you will be invited to attend a 05-minute phone interview.

The Assesment Centre 

If successful in your Application and/or Phone Interview, your application will be forwarded to the Assessment Centre for final selection.
